हमारी आपसे प्रार्थना है कि आपके अभय चरणों की हमें कभी विस्मृति न हो । आपके श्री चरण कभी भी हमारी दृष्टि से ओझल न हों । हम इस जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र से संसार में अधिक दुखी है । अब दयाकर इस चक्र से हमारा शीघ्र उद्घार कर दो । ...हमारी इन्द्रियाँ, जो विषय-पदार्थों की ओर आकर्षित हो रही है, उनकी बाहृ प्रवृत्ति से रक्षा कर, उन्हें अंतर्मुखी बना कर हमें आत्म-दर्शन के योग्य बना दो । जब तक हमारी इन्द्रयों की बहिमुर्खी प्रवृत्ति और चंचल मन पर अंकुश नहीं है, तब तक आत्मसाक्षात्कार की हमें कोई आशा नहीं है । हमारे पुत्र और मित्र, कोई भी अन्त में हमारे काम न आयेंगे । हे साई । हमारे तो एकमात्र तुम्हीं हो, जो हमें मोक्ष और आनन्द प्रदान करोगे । हे प्रभु । हमारी तर्कवितर्क तथा अन्य कुप्रवृत्तियों को नष्ट कर दो । हमारी जिहृ सदैव तुम्हारे नामस्मरण का स्वाद लेती रहे । हे साई । हमारे अच्छे बुरे सब प्रकार के विचारों को नष्ट कर दो । प्रभु । कुछ ऐसा कर दो कि जिससे हमें अपने शरीर और गृह में आसक्ति न रहे । हमारा अहंकार सर्वथा निर्मूल हो जाय और हमें एकमात्र तुम्हारे ही नाम की स्मृति बनी रहे तथा शेष सबका विस्मरण हो जाय । हमारे मन की अशान्ति को दूर कर, उसे स्थिर और शान्त करो । हे साई । यदि तुम हमारे हाथ अपने हाथ में ले लोगे तो अज्ञानरुपी रात्रि का आवरण शीघ्र दूर हो जायेगा और हम तुम्हारे ज्ञान-प्रकाश में सुखपूर्वक विचरण करने लगेंगे । यह जो तुम्हारा लीलामृत पान करने का सौभाग्य हमें प्राप्त हुआ तथा जिसने हमें अखण्ड निद्रा से जागृत कर दिया है, यह तुम्हारी ही कृपा और हमारे गत जन्मों के शुभ कर्मों का ही फल है ।
